This is because we are considering a different approach to have a better core in the end.
Things will become more clear in the next few days.
But don't worry, we are still here and more good news is to come!

more then a year ago on OC forum was a good colaboration form the community, supbmited fixes and patchs in proper section,
but lately there where only requests, and concluded discussions whith not posted fixes (only fixed in private)
and if it rests like this i (and i think even other devs) will don't have the intention do do work for people who are not contributing and who make money with our work.
for me this topic is done, and if things will not change it will be done 4 ever
i love the new anticheat system :) (thx henhouse)
vmap V3 rocks :) (thx stfx)

From time-to-time i enter here to find ... news (good or bad), and now i see this cr4p0 and i can`t be quiet anymore.
So desteny for 1 or more years all i hear from you, other devs and dave is complaining about comunity doenst support this core with fixes.
Now i know how this working, every wanna-be-admin-owner-kiddo take a core make it himself and try to make money out of it, without share with the comunity anything in exchange.
BUT why the f*** are you "DEVS" if you only QQ-ing about others fixes?!?!
For what i know a "DEV" should work (more or less) at his project involved, not waiting in vain for patches made by someone else and they just put them in repo.
C`mon man be serius, close the d4mn project, sell it do whatever you want but STOP crying for others to make your job!
Look/read all those forums and you will see how patetic is allmost every "official" responses from those so called "devs" > people dont get involved, we dont receive any help, nobody give us any fixes (....).
Really guys! This is soo embarising.
Oh not to mention you keep/support a thread in this forum, of a dude who ask money for his website (...).
*please read carefully my post, maybe move it to staff only, read it again, than do what you have to do with it, delete, ban me whatever, but first think about this stuff.
Have a nice life.

Sir, you are mentally disabled. Being a opensource developer means you work when you feel for working, and if lets say Stfx is the only one working on the project. Then he gets tired of it, but if everyone is contributing and testing then they feel that they are not working in vain. That is what they mean, you can either do a developer happy by testing and contributing, or you just send him money. That are the two things who keep a opensource developer happy. Enough said here

Well, it seems dead because the developers aren't really doing anything. The last commit to the scm was in may.
Speaking as someone new to the community, it doesn't look good. I'm going to give it a chance, I've already talked to you on IRC and you're cool as hell but it just seems like the community is dead.
From looking at what happens, the developers like the community to fix bugs for them and then only feed back a smidge of what they do and then complain about the community not supporting them.
If I'm wrong, let me know. I'm not some twelve year old kid. I'm not sitting here because I'm butthurt, I'm seriously not. I could give two shits because I just got here and if this died today, it wouldn't bother me at all.
From someone trying to come in from the outside, it's not good. The Wiki is down, the developers aren't saying shit and i'm reading on the forums that the developers care about their game and that's it.
Like I said, if I'm wrong, so be it. But from an outside perspective. that's it.
If you want to have a solid community, get your shit in order.

why does the devs "do nothing":
this has almost two reasons:
the first one was that a lot of people in the past where stealing or leeching code from oregoncore without giving credits to oregoncore, and selling / using the code as "own coded code"
the second reason is the most important, and deal breaking reason for me (and also some other devs):
oregoncore has performance problems, and problems to hold a medium amount of players, even on top hardware specs. (and no way to hold high amounts of player), and there are some really wired problems, leaks, missing functionality, not testes parts and so on.
this was the result of a sort or merge of mangos one and tc1 / tc2 parts, the problems are not solvable by fixing it up, we needed to rebase on tc1 (or mangos one) and port features and fixes from OC, to fix this up.
but nevermind, for this job we need much more human resources, but we dont have it, (in fact)
for this it makes no more sense for me.
mangos one is back alive, and makes a realy good job, nice work in progress and fun to develop with the system, for this reason my direction is quite clear, ...
if anyone wants a suggestion from me, if you are a serious dev, and not only one who wants a server out of the box, go using mangos one. Of course you have more initial work to do but later you will have much less problems!
only my two cents,
i love the new anticheat system :) (thx henhouse)
vmap V3 rocks :) (thx stfx)

Do I understand you correctly? You advising us to leave this project and use MANGOS ????
I had "MANGOS" server year ago - MANGOS is a piece of shit
This is reason why I'm here!
Oregon is the best core I've ever seen!
And you killing it!
